Spain vnzh 160 thousand euros h1>
A smart Christmas present was made by an unemployed migrant from Senegal, deciding to participate in the traditional Spanish lottery “El Gordo”: his ticket was lucky and brought a 35-year-old man 400 thousand euros. Senegalese was one of 1,600 residents of the southern city of Roquetas de Mar, who purchased lottery tickets with a winning number, reports BBC.
The lucky person is called Ngane, his name is not mentioned by the media, noting that Senegalese and his wife were sent to Spain eight years ago thanks to the coast guard: the corbal, on which migrants tried to swim from Morocco to Europe, was wrecked, and border guards came to their aid. Since that time, the family lived in a small southern town, earning money at an agricultural enterprise.
According to Ngane, on some days he and his wife did not have five euros for two, but it became worse when the migrant was fired. And yet the man decided to take a chance and take part in the Christmas lottery.
Note that El Gordo is focused on sharing the winnings between a large number of people, and each year the winners are thousands of people. The holding of the lottery, which has been held since 1812, was not affected even by the Civil War of 1936-1939: each side conducted its rally.
