How to go to Koh Chang yourself.
Koh Chang is located in the Gulf of Thailand more than 300 km from Bangkok. We recommend, upon arrival in Thailand, stay for a couple of days in Bangkok and then continue your independent journey, going to Koh Chang. However, if after the flight you feel the strength to continue the journey, after spending about 5 hours on the bus and half an hour by ferry, you can go to Koh Chang directly from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport.
Koh Chang from Bangkok.
If, before you go on your own to Koh Chang, you decided to spend some time in the capital of Thailand, how to get to town from the airport, read in the section: To Bangkok yourself.
Step 1. We come to the Ekkamai bus station.

Buses that bring you directly to the pier of Laem Ngob, depart in the morning, at 7.45. and 9.45. (the departure time varies periodically). Travel time is about 5 hours. The fare is about 300 baht.
Note that, in addition to buses to the pier, almost every hour, or even half an hour, buses leave for Trat. From the bus station in this town to the pier you can get on tuk-tuk for 30-40 minutes. Just tell the taxi driver: “Ferry to Koh Chang”.
